Hello folks, it’s been a busy few months since I last posted an update, as I’ve been very busy: mostly weaving as part of my new business: Jessica Norris Handwoven. This culminated in amazing success at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show. Read on to find out how I did!

Weaving Milestones
Weaving has kept me very busy of late: in May I had an exhibition of my work entitled “Studies in Colour and Weave” and more recently I’ve submitted work for the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of NSW’ Intermediate Certificate of Weaving. Check out what all of this involved!
A handwoven viking apron dress
I’ve wanted to weave my own apron dress fabric for some time, especially since it’s very difficult to get wool fabric in Australia that is suitable for reproductions. Now I’ve finally done it!
Hats off to handwoven
I plunged straight into sewing with my handwoven fabric in order to make these amazing bucket hats. Just in time for Christmas!
