It’s been ages since I showed photos of our garden. Today is the first day of Summer, and this year Spring was kind! See what we’ve been up to in our space.
This year Evie asked me to make her teddy some clothing, as a present for her birthday. This material just begged to be made into something sweet for Evie, as it has all her favourite things: pink colours, gold sparkle and some busy geometric shapes. I can’t even begin to describe the squeeee moment I had whenContinue reading “Teddy Clothes”
With all of these posts lately about sewing and handcrafts, have you been wondering how things are going in our garden? All of the summer veggies are finished up, so we’ve pulled out the zucchini plants and the straggly tomatoes. In their place we have some self-sown Zinnias, plus seedlings of tomatoes and some cucumbers.Continue reading “Pixie in the Garden”
Our Dec 2016 garlic harvest was our best ever crop! In 2015, the garlic harvest was sickly, with small bulbs — that’s probably why I can’t find a previous blog post about it. Let’s welcome Summer! But first, let’s remember Springtime, 2014. 🙂
Spring is here! The garden is starting to wake up. 🙂
I have been taking photographs and composing blog posts in my head, but somehow, not making it to my keyboard to actually type these things up! Bad blogger, no biscuit for you! So, here’s a bunch of garden pictures from mid winter to mildly amuse you. A little background to these shots — it hasContinue reading “The winter garden”
Winter is closing in at last, and the cold weather has arrived. All the animals are doing very well, especially Cricket who is growing like crazy and looks like a proper hen! Here is a selection of photos I took yesterday morning, as I did my morning rounds.
Today was an amazingly warm autumn day – a big change from the very cold weather we had over the Easter weekend! The little chicks are growing up fast. Cricket is now saying “bok bok” a lot more than “cheep cheep”, and charlotte is growing a rather lovely hen’s tail. I’m feeling a little reservedContinue reading “Autumn in the garden”
